I have trained as a Vehicle Technician with another Brand. Can I apply for a Vehicle Technical role with a different one?

Joining from another Brand? We know that as a Vehicle Technician from another manufacturer you will be highly skilled but may have little understanding of the specifics of our Volkswagen Group products, systems and processes. This is not a problem.

New Vehicle Technicians can easily navigate through our Volkswagen Group Brand training plans in a relatively short space of time. Our training pathways are blended with a mixture of remote and face to face learning focussing on the systems and processes that are unique to Volkswagen Group. All technicians start at our first level of qualification which can be completed in as little as 12 weeks and is packed with everything needed to carry out the role in the early months. Following successful qualification there are options to quickly move on to further advanced levels of qualification.

If you have gained a qualification level with any other Volkswagen Group Brand, there will be elements of your training that we will recognise and you will not be required to complete them again. You will automatically be enrolled onto the relevant Brand Cross over Training Plans starting with Vehicle Service Technician which is all e-learning and accessible on-line at any time and can be completed in a very short space of time. The cross over training plans cover the Brand specific requirements of the qualification level. On successful completion, you will be become certified at that level.
